Patna: Patna Women’s College hosted a grand Christmas celebration on Friday at the Open Air Stage Hall in the college premises. The event was divided into two phases, with the first phase for first and second-year students and the second phase for third-year and postgraduate students. The celebration kicked off with a soulful prayer dance, creating a serene atmosphere of reverence and positivity, followed by a melodious Hindi carol, “Bethlehem Ke Gaushale Mein,” which captivated the audience.

A vibrant folk dance showcasing the cultural heritage of Bihar added to the festive atmosphere, while the highlight of the evening was the play “Martin – The Cobbler,” which delivered the powerful message that God helps those who help others. The performance was enhanced by an English carol and a touching angel dance, evoking deep emotions. The celebration concluded with an energetic tribal dance that left the audience mesmerized.

Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal of the college, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Christmas, emphasizing its message of hope and faith. The event was skillfully conducted by Rupam Kumari, Annette Anand, Mahrukh Firdaus, and Ahana Man Singh. Prachi Priya of the Department of Economics delivered the vote of thanks.

The program was organized under the guidance of Sister Anna A.C. (Assistant Professor, Department of Geography), Mr. Frank Krishner (Assistant Professor, Department of Communicative English and Media Studies), Dr. Touseef Hasan (Head of Department, Department of Communicative English and Media Studies), Miss Runa (Assistant Professor, Department of Communicative English and Media Studies), Miss Enakshi Dey Biswas (Cultural Coordinator, Performing Arts), and Miss Kriti. The event’s success was ensured by Cultural Coordinators Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C. (Head of Department, Department of History) and Miss Pooja Kumari (Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce). The program reached its climax when Santa Claus made a surprise appearance, delighting everyone in attendance.
