Justice and Media: Justice Anjana Mishra, Sweta Singh Honored at Patna Women’s College Alumnae Annual Meet
Patna: The Patna Women’s College Alumnae Association (PWCAA) hosted its Annual Meet at the college’s open-air stage hall on Saturday, bringing together alumnae, faculty, and distinguished guests for an evening of celebration and reflection. The event began with the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and knowledge, followed by an address by the principal and PWCAA Chairperson, who highlighted the college’s achievements and the alumnae’s contributions to its legacy.
One of the event’s key moments was the felicitation of distinguished alumnae. Justice Anjana Mishra shared insights on resilience and justice while reminiscing about her college days, and Sweta Singh, News Anchor and Executive Editor at Aaj Tak, spoke about the transformative role of media and credited the college for shaping her career. The third edition of the alumnae magazine, Melak, was also released during the celebration, showcasing the achievements and cherished memories of the PWCAA community.
The program featured captivating performances, including a teachers’ group song, a thematic dance, and a grand finale by the Student Council, which highlighted the creativity and energy of both students and alumnae. A lively game session further added to the excitement of the evening, creating a joyful atmosphere.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Shefali, Secretary of PWCAA, who expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making the Annual Meet a success. The gathering underscored the enduring bond among the Patna Women’s College alumnae and celebrated the institution’s values of empowerment, excellence, and community.
