Pravasi Samman Diwas Concludes with Focus on Heritage and Startups
Lakhisarai: The three-day Pravasi Samman Diwas celebration concluded at Lakhisarai Museum with a grand closing ceremony. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister-cum-Lakhisarai MLA Vijay Kumar Sinha, Suryagraha MLA Prahlad Yadav, and High Court Judge Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, along with several dignitaries. The program began with the lighting of lamps and the rendition of the Bihar song.
Migrants from Lakhisarai district, both online and in-person, participated in the event. Notable attendees included startup founders Srishti Kumari, Anthesh Anand, Vikas Gupta, and Nirmal Anand, who have made significant contributions under the Bihar Startup Policy. Migrants from Japan and Qatar also joined virtually. The district’s heritage, including landmarks like Lakhisarai Railway Station, Kiul Bridge, Shaheed Dwar, and Ashok Dham, was showcased through PPTs and short videos, highlighting its rich cultural and historical significance.
The event spotlighted local entrepreneurs benefiting from the Bihar Udyam Yojana. Srishti Kumari’s Kalai startup combines art and artificial intelligence to serve the community, while Nirmal Anand’s Genie Eye focuses on health solutions. Anthesh Anand’s Brand Medics and Vikas Kumar’s English Se Aage are solving challenges in branding and language learning, respectively. The founders shared insights on overcoming entrepreneurship-related challenges and encouraged others to explore the benefits of the Bihar Startup Policy.
Key district officials, including Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar, Additional Collector Sudhanshu Shekhar, Deputy Development Commissioner Sumit Kumar, and others, attended the ceremony. They emphasized the importance of fostering innovation and supporting the youth in entrepreneurial ventures. The Pravasi Samman Diwas celebration served as a platform to honor the achievements of Lakhisarai’s migrants while promoting its heritage and entrepreneurial potential.
