Prashant Kishore to End 14-Day Hunger Strike Tomorrow at Jan Suraaj Ashram

Patna: Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj, will end his 14-day hunger strike on January 16. The announcement was made by Jan Suraaj, stating that Kishor will break his fast at 12 noon at the Jan Suraj Ashram.

Kishor embarked on this hunger strike on January 2, demanding a re-examination of the BPSC 70th PT exam. His health deteriorated during the fast, leading to his hospitalization at Medanta Hospital in Patna.

Prior to this, the district administration granted permission to Jan Suraaj to establish a temporary camp near Marine Drive. A tent city was subsequently constructed, including a large hall for training party workers. This facility, named the Jan Suraaj Ashram, also provides accommodations for workers. The administration is closely monitoring all activities within this tent city.

Governor Arif Mohammad Khan met with a delegation of 12 candidates and assured them of taking appropriate action within the constitutional framework. The Governor also appealed to Prashant Kishor to end his fast. Concurrently, Jan Suraaj has filed a petition in the Patna High Court seeking a re-examination of the BPSC 70th PT exam. The court is scheduled to hear the case.
