Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Assembly Guest House in Patna

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated a newly constructed guest house in the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Assembly Speaker Nandkishore Yadav, and several ministers were present at the event. The guest house, featuring all modern facilities, is designed to be both attractive and functional.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha stated that the guest house will benefit all MLAs and Legislative Councilors. It aims to address the issues faced earlier due to the lack of such facilities. He highlighted that its foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar during the centenary year of the assembly. Sinha also emphasized the commitment of the “double engine government” to the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.”

Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary remarked that the need for a guest house in the Bihar Legislative Assembly had been felt for a long time. He credited Nitish Kumar and the Speaker for taking the initiative to complete this much-needed project. The building is expected to significantly enhance the assembly’s infrastructure.

The inauguration comes ahead of the All India Presiding Officers Conference, which is scheduled to be held on January 20 and 21. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate the event, which will be attended by 264 dignitaries, including presiding officers, Speakers of Legislative Assemblies from 28 states, Chairmen of six Legislative Councils, and Speakers from Union Territories.

The guest house is part of the assembly’s preparations for the conference and reflects Bihar’s effort to provide state-of-the-art facilities for its lawmakers and visitors. The project symbolizes the collaborative approach of Bihar’s leadership to improve governance infrastructure.
