Patna: Jesus and Mary Academy hosted its annual Science and Art Exhibition on Thursday, showcasing a range of innovative and artistic models created by students under the guidance of their teachers. The exhibition featured Madhubani paintings, a thermal power generator, a solar irrigation system, assistive glasses for the visually impaired, replicas of the Pyramid of Giza and the Taj Mahal, a human digestive system model, an electricity-producing device, models of Nalanda ruins, Sher Shah’s tomb, Sanchi Stupa, ISRO’s launch device, robotics, a hemodialysis machine, different types of computers, a laser light security guard, and sand art, among others.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Nand Kishore Yadav, Padma Bhushan Dr. C.P. Thakur, Dr. Gaurav Kumar (DSP-2, Patna City), Patna Mayor Sita Sahu, Deputy Mayor Reshmi Chandravanshi, social worker Rakesh Ballabh, and Devaraj Ballabh, President of Rotary Patna City Samrat. They were welcomed by Ambrose Patrick (School Director), Abhishek Patrick (Deputy Director), and Principal Pooja N. Sharma with floral bouquets and traditional scarves.
The exhibition was inaugurated with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by the guests and school authorities. As they toured the exhibits, the dignitaries praised the students’ creativity and innovation, describing their work as a testament to the technological and artistic potential of Patna City’s youth. Visitors also lauded the students’ efforts, expressing admiration for their detailed and well-executed projects.
In his closing remarks, Director Ambrose Patrick, alongside Deputy Director Abhishek Patrick, expressed gratitude to the attendees and emphasized the school’s commitment to nurturing young talent. They assured that such exhibitions would continue to be organized to provide students with opportunities to explore and showcase their skills.
