Patna’s Traffic Woes to Ease With New Four-Lane Roads Along Two Nalas

Patna: Residents of Patna will soon get relief from persistent traffic congestion as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inspected the proposed four-lane road project along Rajiv Nagar and Anandpuri Nalas on Friday during his Pragati Yatra. The projects, with an estimated cost of Rs 180.99 crore, are expected to benefit nearly two lakh people upon completion.

The two four-lane roads will span 4.26 km, providing an alternative route that will reduce traffic pressure on Patna’s main roads. Speaking at the inspection, CM Nitish Kumar said, “The construction of these roads will offer new traffic alternatives in Patna and provide much-needed relief from congestion.”

Officials highlighted the strategic importance of the projects in addressing the city’s growing traffic issues. The new roads will divert vehicles from key areas, easing congestion in inner Patna and creating a better travel option for those commuting within and outside the city.
