New Traffic System to Ease Congestion Near Patna Junction from April 1

Patna : A new traffic management system is set to be introduced around Patna Junction from April 1 in an effort to ease congestion in the busy area. Traffic Superintendent of Police (SP) Aparajit Lohan inspected the site on Monday, assessing arrangements at key locations including Patna Junction, GPO Multi-Modal Hub Parking, Mahavir Mandir, and Station Golambar.
As part of the new system, Patna Junction Golambar is set to be reduced in size to allow smoother traffic movement. Given the heavy volume of vehicles and the constant flow to and from the Multi-Modal Hub Parking, authorities are also considering alternative routes to prevent bottlenecks.
To facilitate this, a proposal has been made to dismantle dividers in multiple locations, including under the flyover near Patna Junction and around pillar numbers 13 and 14. Traffic SP Lohan has formally requested the relevant departments to take the necessary steps to reduce the size of the Golambar and remove the dividers.
