Bihar Chief Secretary Reviews Progress of Rs 16,000-Crore Industrial Cluster in Gaya

Gaya: Bihar Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena chaired a district-level review meeting to assess the development of the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) in Gaya, a key initiative under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) project.
Officials from the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) presented a comprehensive progress report, highlighting the potential of the IMC Gaya to attract investments worth Rs 16,000 crore. The project, touted as a cornerstone of Bihar’s industrial growth strategy, is expected to significantly boost manufacturing and economic activity in the region.
Strategically situated in the historically and culturally significant city of Gaya, the IMC is being developed as part of a broader infrastructure framework aimed at enhancing industrial connectivity and competitiveness across eastern India.
The cluster is being implemented through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), Bihar Integrated Manufacturing City Gaya Ltd., which was incorporated in January 2025 to oversee the project’s execution and coordination.
Officials said the project would not only generate large-scale employment but also enhance logistics and supply chain networks across Bihar.
