Patna : Fuel prices in Patna have remained steady, providing a brief respite to consumers amid global market volatility. As of today, the price of petrol stands at Rs 105.23 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs 92.32 per litre.
The stability in fuel prices comes despite fluctuations in international crude oil markets and currency exchange rates. Industry experts attribute this steadiness to recent adjustments in the state’s Value Added Tax (VAT) on petroleum products. In February, the Bihar government reduced VAT on petrol from 26% to 22.20% and on diesel from 19% to 15%, leading to a decrease of Rs 2.52 per litre for petrol and Rs 2.55 per litre for diesel.
While the current prices offer some relief, consumers are advised to stay informed, as fuel rates are subject to daily revisions based on global oil prices and currency fluctuations.
