Redevelopment Highlights

Phase 1 of the redevelopment, sanctioned at a cost of ₹18.93 crore, included extensive upgrades across civil, electrical, and signalling domains. A 12-metre-wide foot overbridge with a roof plaza has been constructed, along with separate arrival and departure blocks to streamline movement.

New features include:

  • Aesthetic modern façade with decorative lighting
  • First and Second Class Waiting Halls, Executive Lounge, Reserved Lounge, and Ladies Waiting Hall
  • Completed concourse and arrival block
  • Circulating area to ease passenger flow
  • Indoor and outdoor video walls for real-time passenger information
  • Clear, accessible signage throughout the station

The station’s interiors have been designed to reflect local art and historical landmarks, offering a blend of modern architecture and regional identity. This design approach reinforces the cultural uniqueness of Pirpainti while meeting the growing needs of rail travellers.
