PM Narendra Modi to Hold Grand Roadshow in Patna on May 29: PMC Prepares Route and Security

Patna: With the Bihar assembly elections heating up, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to conduct a grand roadshow in Patna on May 29, marking his first such event in this election year. The BJP is pulling out all stops to make the event historic, with preparations underway for welcoming the PM’s convoy at 32 key points across the city.

The roadshow will begin at Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport and proceed through Sheikhpura Mor, Bailey Road, JD Women’s College, Rajvanshi Nagar Hanuman Mandir, Vishvesvaraya Bhawan, and High Court, culminating at the BJP state office. Local BJP workers and supporters will line the route to greet the Prime Minister.

Patna braces for high-security convoy movement

The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) and law enforcement agencies are coordinating traffic, security, and crowd management measures along the approximately four-kilometre route. Authorities are expected to issue traffic advisories closer to the event.

Stay at Raj Bhavan, rally in Bikramganj

Following the roadshow, Prime Minister Modi will stay overnight at Raj Bhavan. On 30 May, he is scheduled to address an election rally in Bikramganj, where he will outline BJP’s priorities and plans for Bihar’s development.

Boosting booth-level strength and party morale

BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal emphasized the importance of the visit, stating it would energize the party’s grassroots network and sharpen its election strategy. He added that the PM will meet with Bihar’s MPs, MLAs, and party officials to offer guidance for the upcoming polls.

Building on past success

A previous roadshow held on 12 May drew large crowds and high enthusiasm from party cadres. This time, the BJP aims to surpass that momentum with a more focused and symbolic route, showcasing party unity and the strength of the BJP-JDU alliance led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
