Fitness, cricket and a painting prize ceremony brought energy and creativity to the fourteenth day of Patna Women’s College’s summer camp.

Patna: The fourteenth day of the ongoing summer camp at Patna Women’s College was marked by a vibrant mix of fitness, friendly competition, and artistic celebration, setting a spirited tone for the participants.

The day began with an energising fitness session that included warm-up exercises, jogging, and stretches. Conducted under the guidance of Dr Manjula Sushila, Sports Coordinator of the college, the session aimed to instil discipline, focus, and physical well-being among the campers.

Following the exercises, students were divided into three groups for a friendly cricket match. Organised by Dr Sushila in collaboration with the Student Council, the game introduced participants to the basic rules of cricket while also offering hands-on experience. Dr Sushila shared practical tips throughout the match to deepen the students’ understanding of the sport. The teams played with evident enthusiasm and sportsmanship, cheered on by Student Council members who also played alongside them, offering motivation and support.

In the second half of the day, the results of the painting competition—held a day earlier—were officially announced. The entries were evaluated by Dr Sumeet Ranjan and Dr Sr Jincy A.C., who assessed each group’s creativity and thematic interpretation. Group Rakhtshakti won the top prize for its compelling artistic expression, while Group Rafale Jets and Group Sudarshan Chakra secured the second and third positions respectively.

The day concluded on a high note, filled with shared laughter, team spirit, and artistic pride. For many students, it was a memorable chapter in a summer of growth, learning and joyful community.
