Patna: Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport in Patna celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 with a lively event called Yoga Sangam on Saturday. The session saw the active participation of around 120 people, including staff and officers from CISF, BCAS, airlines, and ground handling agencies. The event took place on the 4th floor of the airport’s administrative block.
The airport’s yoga celebration was held in sync with the national-level event led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Visakhapatnam, showing unity across the country. The session was led by Shri Mintu, a certified yoga trainer, who guided everyone through a 40-minute routine of yoga postures and breathing exercises.
After the yoga session, a meditation segment was held by members of the Brahma Kumaris, helping participants relax and feel calm. A recorded message from the Minister of Civil Aviation was also played, encouraging everyone to make yoga a regular part of their lives.
The event ended with a pledge to practice yoga daily for at least 15 minutes. Light refreshments were served, and some travellers at the airport also joined in and received Yoga Day T-shirts from officials. Patna Airport said it will continue supporting such wellness activities for the benefit of its staff and visitors.
