Patna: The World Management Conference (WMC) 2025, hosted by the Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), concluded on Sunday, having drawn industry leaders, scholars and students together under the theme of “Business Resilience.”
The day began with a ceremonial lamp-lighting and an inaugural address by Dr Rana Singh, Director of CIMP, who underscored the critical role of resilience in contemporary management practices. Dr Ranjit Tiwari, convenor of WMC-2025, followed with an overview of the conference objectives and schedule.
Two keynote speakers delivered insights into navigating uncertainty in global and national business environments. Anand Kumar, Managing Director of Singapore-based S Cube Capital, spoke about strategic resilience and the need for flexible capital solutions. Deepak Mandal, Director of Finance at Thomson Reuters India, addressed participants on the shifting financial landscape, highlighting the importance of adaptive leadership and moving from competition to collaboration to foster resilience.

The conference then transitioned into technical sessions organised into parallel tracks, covering topics such as resilient economies, financial systems, digital transformation, technological resilience, HR and gender issues, sustainability and strategic case studies. Each track featured research paper presentations and lively discussions chaired by senior academics and industry experts.
During the valedictory session, Dr Santosh Kumar provided a summary of key insights from the day’s proceedings. The conference also recognised outstanding research through its Best Paper Awards. The honours went to Gopala B from Alliance School of Business, Alliance University, Bangalore (First Prize), Yashodeepto Narayan Ghosh from Dr. B. C. Roy Academy of Professional Courses (MAKAUT), West Bengal (Second Prize), and Khushboo Kumari and Dr Kailash Chandra Pradhan from Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari, Bihar (Third Prize).
Closing the conference, Dr Rana Singh reaffirmed CIMP’s commitment to fostering dialogue around global challenges and promoting academic excellence.
