Bhagalpur: Today is the last day for residents of Bhagalpur to pay their holding tax with a 5% discount under the annual special discount camp organised by the Municipal Corporation’s holding tax collection agency. The camp, which has been running from April 1 to June 30, has been set up at a special collection centre within the I Triple C campus.
On Monday morning, dozens of taxpayers arrived early to clear their dues before the deadline. According to Agency Project Manager Amit Kumar, a list of individuals who benefited from the discount scheme will be released by late evening.
The initiative aims to improve holding tax collection efficiency by incentivising timely payments. Officials expect a significant rise in overall tax compliance as residents rushed to avail the final day discount.
