Muzaffarpur: A woman from Muzaffarpur district in Bihar is facing deep pain after a blackmailer leaked her obscene video even after taking Rs 10 lakh from her. The victim, who lives in a village in Paru block, filed a complaint at Muzaffarpur’s cyber police station. She said the blackmailer first demanded Rs 5 lakh and also pressured her to have sex with him. When she refused, he made her edited video viral on social media.
The woman told the police that she met the accused, Sunil Kumar, in 2023 when she went to a doctor in Hajipur for treatment. Sunil worked there as a compounder and started calling her often. Later, he downloaded her photos from Facebook and Instagram and edited them to make dirty photos and videos. He began blackmailing her by threatening to leak them if she did not pay him money.
Out of fear for her respect, she started giving him cash. Sunil collected Rs 5 lakh first and even sent his wife Pinky to her house to take the money by threatening her. In total, Sunil and four others took Rs 10 lakh from her. But they still demanded another Rs 5 lakh and forced her to have a physical relationship. When she refused to sleep with Sunil, he made the obscene video viral.
The woman has submitted all videos and photos to the cyber police. The FIR names six people, including Sunil and his wife. Police have started their investigation, but the victim says her life has become miserable due to this shameful act.
