Patna: The Bihar government has approved a project worth Rs 20.11 crore for the widening and strengthening of Rajendra Path, one of Patna’s important roads. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said administrative approval has been given to the scheme, which aims to modernise Rajendra Path along with other key roads in the city.

The scheme includes strengthening of roads such as Gyan Ganga, Paper Mill, Buddha statue, Vijay Chowk, Congress Maidan, and Peermuhani under the new capital path division. Samrat said the project will not only widen the main Rajendra Path but also modernise connecting roads to ease traffic congestion and accelerate development in the area.

He added that ensuring a reliable traffic network in a densely populated city like Patna is a top government priority. The initiative is part of the NDA government’s goal of creating a sustainable and dependable road infrastructure under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Samrat also assured that regular inspections and monitoring systems will be implemented to maintain transparency and quality in the work, with no compromise at any stage.
