Patna: A disturbing incident has come to light in Patna, where a 17-year-old girl is fighting for recovery in PMCH after allegedly being subjected to a brutal sexual assault. The minor, who had reportedly run away from home due to severe bleeding, was later admitted to the hospital with critical injuries to her private parts, necessitating four stitches. Police in the Buddha Colony area have moved swiftly, arresting Virendra Choudhary, 30, who is accused of the rape. The grim details emerged after the victim’s elder sister discovered the extent of her injuries and brought her to the authorities.
Choudhary, a resident of Madhubani who works in housekeeping outsourcing and lives on rent in Patna, is alleged to have exploited his position. The victim had been working as a tele-caller in his office for approximately a month. According to family accounts, Choudhary lured the teenager to Hotel Vihaan on Friday under the pretext of a job interview. Once there, it is alleged he forcibly raped her. The hotel manager, however, stated that the pair had checked into room number 202, claiming to be husband and wife, and left after about four hours. This statement is likely to be a point of contention in the ongoing investigation.
The full horror of the incident became apparent when the girl returned home around 6 PM, visibly unwell. She immediately went to her room and slept. Later that night, when her elder sister attempted to wake her for food, she discovered the bed soaked in blood, prompting an immediate and urgent inquiry. It was then that the minor bravely recounted the harrowing details to her sister, explaining that Choudhary had taken her to the hotel for an “interview” and subsequently raped her. She further revealed that Choudhary had even provided her with medicine from a local store to alleviate the bleeding and pain before sending her home when her condition did not improve.
Driven by concern and a desperate need for justice, the elder sister immediately took the injured victim to the police station on Friday night. The police acted promptly, ensuring the minor was sent to PMCH for urgent medical attention. A formal complaint has been filed based on the elder sister’s statement, leading to Choudhary’s swift arrest. Police have confirmed that a case has been registered under the stringent POCSO Act. It has also been revealed that Choudhary is married and a father of two, and he reportedly fled to the bypass area after the alleged crime before being apprehended in a police raid.
