Patna: Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of the Opposition in Bihar and prominent Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) figure, has shared a family portrait for the first time on his official X account. The photos feature his wife Rajshree, daughter Katyayani, and infant son Iraj, offering a rare glimpse into the personal life of the political scion.
The couple welcomed their second child, a son named Iraj Lalu Yadav, in May this year at a hospital in Kolkata. Their daughter, Katyayani, was born in 2023. Tejashwi, the younger son of RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav, had earlier announced the birth of his son with a celebratory post invoking “Jai Hanuman”.

In the newly released images, one shows Tejashwi holding his daughter while Rajshree cradles their son. Another captures the leader with both children, with Rajshree standing by. Sharing the photos, he reflected on familial and cultural values, writing: “Rich social tradition, family values, love and blessings of elders, sanskar and culture make a person civilized and life precious.”
Tejashwi and Rajshree married in 2021, with the couple largely keeping their private life away from the public eye until now.
The family update comes amid internal turbulence within the Yadav household. Tejashwi’s elder brother, Tej Pratap Yadav, has been sidelined from both the party and family by Lalu Prasad Yadav himself.
