Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation has launched a special cleanliness campaign called “Har Din Har Gali” to keep every street in the city clean and free from mosquito-borne diseases. Municipal Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar said the drive will ensure 100% door-to-door garbage collection, anti-larva spraying, fogging and regular road cleaning in all wards.
Ward nodal officers will visit their areas every morning from 7am, check the cleanliness work, and send reports to headquarters by 2pm. Public places will also be sprayed with lime and bleaching powder to prevent infections.
For better monitoring, two Additional Municipal Commissioners have been given charge of six zones. Ashish Kumar will look after Patliputra, Kankarbagh and Patna City, while Rajan Sinha will oversee Nutan Rajdhani, Bankipur and Azimabad. They will inspect the work daily and coordinate with ward officers.
Officials say the campaign aims to make Patna cleaner and healthier, while also improving its rank in the Swachh Survekshan survey. Residents have been urged to cooperate with garbage collectors and maintain cleanliness around their homes.
