Patna: In preparation for the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, the NDA has unveiled an ambitious organisational drive. Leaders of the alliance’s five constituent parties – JD(U), BJP, LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM and RLMO – announced that assembly-wise workers’ conferences will be held between August 23 and September 24.
JD(U) state president Umesh Kushwaha said the campaign’s central message was “225 in 2025, Nitish again,” emphasising the target of winning 225 out of 243 seats. BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal confirmed the conferences will take place in seven phases, with 42 assemblies covered in each phase and 14 meetings organised daily.
To manage the campaign, 14 leadership teams have been formed, each led by senior figures from both the state and central governments, including prominent leaders such as Sanjay Jha, Ashok Chaudhary, Vijay Chaudhary, Samrat Chaudhary, Nityanand Rai and Ravi Shankar Prasad.
According to the alliance, the initiative is intended not only to energise party workers at the grassroots level but also to showcase the development record of the Nitish Kumar government. NDA leaders stated the campaign would allow direct communication with voters, reassuring them that Bihar’s pace of growth and governance will continue under Nitish’s leadership.
