Raxaul: A strange incident at Raxaul railway station in Bihar created panic among passengers on Monday when a pet dog was found tied to a seat inside train number 55578 going to Samastipur. The dog began barking loudly and even tried to bite people as they attempted to board the bogie.
The train was stopped at the station for nearly 30 minutes while railway staff tried to remove the animal. Despite several attempts, the dog could not be taken out, and officials eventually decided to seal the bogie and send the train ahead. Passengers were forced to wait with their luggage and faced a lot of inconvenience.
Station manager Anil Kumar Singh said the incident was dangerous for passenger safety and disrupted train operations. He added that the matter is being investigated.
Later, officials confirmed that the dog was safely sent to Darbhanga. The Railway Protection Force handed it over to the Animal Welfare Board. Videos of the dog tied in the coach quickly spread on social media, drawing strong reactions from the public.
