Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated two new air-conditioned girls’ hostels and a Management Development Centre (MDC Block) at the Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute on Monday. The hostels, built at a cost of Rs 4.99 crore, have a combined capacity of 168 students.
The MDC Block is designed to provide short-term career development courses for working professionals, including training in artificial intelligence and other software skills. The centre aims to help employees refresh or enhance their skills while continuing their current jobs.

“The MDC block will cater to a wide range of professionals, including government, non-government, and corporate employees, who wish to acquire new knowledge or upgrade their expertise,” said the institute’s registrar, Sudhir Kumar.
Nitish Kumar, who also serves as the institute’s president, had visited the campus on Sunday to inspect the academic, technical, laboratory, and administrative facilities.
