Patna: In the ongoing political debate over derogatory remarks aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother, Rohini Acharya, daughter of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, has weighed in, stressing consistency in addressing such comments.
Prime Minister Modi recently condemned abusive language used against his late mother during a Congress-led ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar, calling it an insult to all mothers and daughters and urging accountability from those responsible.
In response, Rohini acknowledged that no one should abuse anyone’s mother or sister but pointed out that similar scrutiny should apply to past instances where derogatory remarks were made about Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. She questioned why the Prime Minister had not addressed those remarks, suggesting that the people of Bihar would not forget such insults.
