Patna: Rashtriya Lok Morcha president and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha has announced a major rally in Patna on September 5, focusing on constitutional rights and delimitation reform. The event will take place at Miller Ground and is expected to draw large crowds.
Upendra said his party has been actively campaigning on delimitation, holding successful rallies in Bikramganj, Muzaffarpur, and Gayaji. He described September 5 as a historic day, coinciding with both Martyrdom Day and the Teachers’ Day of Jagdev Prasad, and said the Patna rally will be larger and more significant than previous events.
Attacking the opposition, Upendra said tours by other parties, including Rahul Gandhi and Mahagathbandhan, only created disruption and did not address public concerns. He emphasised that Rashtriya Lok Morcha prioritises issue-based politics and real solutions for the people.
Upendra held Congress responsible for the delay in delimitation, pointing out that Bihar has not received new Lok Sabha seat allocations for 50 years despite constitutional requirements for decennial adjustments based on the census. He clarified that the rally is aimed at public interest rather than electoral gains and intends to escalate the campaign nationwide.
