Bihar: MP Sushil Kumar Modi Inaugurates Day-Night Shelter At AIIMS Patna
Patna – A Day-Night Shelter, established under the MPLAD scheme, was inaugurated today at AIIMS Patna, Bihar. The ceremony, graced by the presence of the chief guest, Sushil Kumar Modi, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, marked a milestone in healthcare infrastructure, reflecting a new era in patient care.
The event also witnessed the attendance of Prof (Dr) Gopal Krushna Pal, Executive Director and CEO, AIIMS Patna, and Sanjiv Chaurasia, MLA, Digha.
This addition to services is poised to greatly enhance the healthcare facilities not only within Bihar but also extend its benefits to the residents of neighboring states. Prof. G.K.Pal, expressing his gratitude, credited Modi, who contributed a substantial amount of Rs 7 crore to the project.
AIIMS Patna aims to complete the construction of the Day-Night Shelter within 6 to 8 months, achieving another significant milestone in its commitment to providing timely and quality health infrastructure to rural communities. The facility will not only serve as a shelter but will also house a cafeteria, offering subsidized food facilities for both patients and their attendants.
Dr. Pal emphasized that the completion of this project will bring much-needed relief to individuals traveling from remote areas of the state. The overarching goal is to ensure that the people of Bihar have access to quality medical treatment without having to relocate to metropolitan cities.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of senior officials and representatives from AIIMS Patna, underscoring the collective commitment towards improving healthcare accessibility in the region.
