Patna: A team of senior officials visited several Patna Metro sites on Saturday to review safety and security arrangements, including measures for crowd management and passenger facilities.
The delegation included Jitendar Kumar, Director General of Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP), and Meenu Kumari, Deputy Inspector General of BSAP, accompanied by Abhilasha Sharma, Additional Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) and Joint Secretary, along with officials from PMRCL and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

Inspections were carried out at the Metro Depot, the New Patliputra Bus Terminal Metro Station, and Bhoothnath Metro Station. Discussions focused on strengthening security protocols at stations and depots, enhancing passenger safety through infrastructure improvements, and devising strategies to manage crowds during peak hours.
Officials also emphasised the importance of inter-agency coordination to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Facility upgrades for commuters, including maintenance and passenger comfort, were also reviewed as part of the exercise.
