The chief minister also unveiled higher payments for educational volunteers. Under the Aakshar scheme, women teaching volunteers will now receive Rs 10,000 a month, while men will get Rs 8,000, up from the current Rs 7,000. Similarly, the honorarium for Tola Sevaks and Talimi Markaz volunteers will rise from Rs 3,405 to Rs 6,000.
CM Nitish said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to “justice with development” by ensuring welfare and education reach Dalit, backward, extremely backward and minority communities. He added that the changes would boost morale and motivation among Vikas Mitras and education volunteers across the state.
