Bihar: State-owned telecom operator BSNL has introduced temporary discounts on three of its prepaid recharge options, enabling customers to pay less for the company’s low-cost packages.
The offer, which runs until October 15, applies to the Rs.199, Rs.485 and Rs.1,999 plans. Subscribers can save between Rs.3.8 and Rs.38, with the revised prices set at Rs.195, Rs.475 and Rs.1,961 respectively.
In a post on its official Instagram account, BSNL promoted the scheme with the message: “Save money on every recharge.”
The three discounted plans include the following benefits:

Rs.199 plan: 28 days’ validity, 2GB of data per day, unlimited calls to all networks, and 100 SMS messages daily.

Rs.485 plan: 72 days’ validity, 2GB of data per day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS messages daily.

Rs.1,999 plan: 365 days’ validity, unlimited calls, 100 SMS messages per day, and a total of 600GB of data.
While the savings are modest on the shorter-duration packs, BSNL’s year-long plan offers the most significant discount. The company has not indicated whether further extensions or additional offers will follow once the scheme ends.
