Patna: The southwest monsoon is on its way out of Bihar, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) indicating that the formal withdrawal will occur within the next one or two days. Currently, weather conditions remain stable across all districts, with no rainfall forecasted anywhere in the state.
As the monsoon retreats, Bihar is witnessing a slight rise in daytime temperatures and a marginal drop in nighttime temperatures. On Friday, the weather remained dry, with clear skies and bright sunshine dominating most parts of the state. By afternoon, humidity levels made the heat slightly uncomfortable for residents.
In Patna, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled at 26 degrees Celsius. Despite the intense sunshine, a thin layer of humidity persisted in the air, making conditions feel warmer.
Weather Systems Over the Region
Meteorologists reported that an upper-air cyclonic circulation is currently active over central Assam and nearby areas, extending up to 1.5 kilometers above sea level. A western disturbance is also present over northwestern Uttar Pradesh and adjoining regions, ranging between 1.5 and 4.5 kilometers in altitude. Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation that had formed over northern Odisha has now weakened. None of these systems are currently influencing Bihar’s weather, allowing the state to experience stable and dry conditions.
No Major Temperature Change Expected
According to the IMD, there will be no major change in temperature across most districts for the next three to four days. Daytime conditions will remain warm and sunny, while nights will turn mildly cool. A slight morning and evening chill may be felt in the western and northern parts of Bihar, though winter is still some time away.
Favorable Conditions for Farmers
This dry spell is considered ideal for agricultural activities. With rainfall activity coming to an end, farmers can proceed with harvesting and field preparation without interruption. Agricultural experts have also noted that such stable weather benefits post-monsoon crop management across rural Bihar.
Patna Weather Outlook
The capital city will continue to experience stable weather in the coming days. The maximum temperature is expected to range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, and the minimum between 25 and 26 degrees Celsius. While mornings will be pleasant, afternoons are likely to be sunny and humid. However, a mild evening breeze will provide some relief to residents.
