Patna: The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), led by Chirag Paswan, is in the final stage of announcing candidates for eight assembly seats ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025.
Sources within the party said the candidates likely to be fielded include Amit Rano (Belsand), Rani Kumari (Makhdoompur), Randhir (Fatuha), Sonu Singh (Dehri), Mithun Yadav (Nathnagar), Pankaj Pandey (Sugauli), Sanjay Singh (Simri Bakhtiyarpur), and Shankar Jha (Kasba).
In addition to these, 13 more seats are nearly finalised under the LJP (Ram Vilas) quota, including Balrampur, Bochaha, Bodh Gaya, Bahadurganj, Govindpur, Rajouli, Chenari, Sherghati, Tarouli, Paliganj, Maner, Marhaura, and Bakhtiyarpur. Party insiders indicated that candidate names for these constituencies will be announced soon.
Meanwhile, discussions are still underway for two crucial constituencies — Mahua and Chakai — where final approval is expected after consultation with NDA’s top leadership.
Under the current seat-sharing formula, the NDA alliance has distributed 101 seats each to the BJP and JD(U), 29 to LJP (Ram Vilas), and six each to Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM and Upendra Kushwaha’s RLM.
