Patna: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Wednesday released its second list of candidates for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, naming 48 more contenders just a day after announcing its first batch of 40 candidates.
The new list features candidates from a broad range of constituencies, including Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Madhepura, Katihar, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Munger, Vaishali, Samastipur, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Nalanda, and Patna.

With this, the BSP has so far declared 88 candidates, signalling its intent to establish a wider electoral footprint in Bihar.
Earlier, party chief Mayawati had confirmed that the BSP would contest all assembly seats in the state without aligning with any coalition. She reiterated that the party aims to strengthen its independent position in Bihar’s political landscape by contesting solo.
