Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to formally launch his election campaign on Thursday, beginning with visits to Sarairanjan and Bahadurpur, according to JD(U) National Executive President Sanjay Kumar Jha.
Posting on X on Wednesday, Jha said the Chief Minister will be present as Water Resources Minister Vijay Chaudhary files his nomination from Sarairanjan, and Madan Sahni from Bahadurpur. “The entire NDA is united in every respect. The objective is to form a government under Nitish Kumar’s leadership,” he wrote. Jha added that the public has seen the benefits of the NDA’s so-called “double-engine” governance and is unlikely to look back.
बिहार के लोगों का ट्रस्ट… pic.twitter.com/Ob0cp0siVd

As both Bihar’s Chief Minister and leader of the JD(U), Nitish Kumar retains significant influence over government and party decisions. Jha emphasised that the Chief Minister takes a consultative approach, seeking feedback before making final decisions.
Jha projected a strong mandate for the NDA, promising continuity in Bihar’s development initiatives, including the construction of multiple six-lane highways and other major infrastructure projects. He highlighted the party’s pledge to create jobs for one crore young people. “The writing on the wall is very clear. The NDA is set to achieve a majority surpassing the record of 2010,” Jha said, adding that opposition parties were aware of public sentiment, particularly among women and youth, and were “in panic” ahead of the polls.
