Patna: The Bihar Assembly elections have gained a new and notable candidate with the entry of popular digital content creator Manish Kashyap, who has been awarded the Jan Suraj ticket for the Chanpatia Assembly constituency.
Kashyap confirmed his candidacy on the social media platform X, marking a significant moment for the Jan Suraj party, which was the first political entity in Bihar to announce its list of candidates for the upcoming polls.
The YouTuber is scheduled to file his official nomination papers on the auspicious day of Dhanteras, October 18.
Gratitude to Jan Suraj Leadership
Following the announcement, Kashyap used his platform to express gratitude to the party’s leadership for placing their trust in him. He specifically thanked the founders and organizers of the political movement.
“I express my heartfelt gratitude to the National President, Honorable Uday Singh Ji, State President Manoj Bharti Ji, and Prashant Kishore Ji, the architect of Jan Suraj, for the trust the Jan Suraj Party has placed in me and for declaring me the party’s candidate from the Chanpatia Assembly constituency,” Kashyap wrote.
He also extended thanks to party officials, workers, and supporters, calling their backing his greatest strength.

In his statement, Kashyap framed his candidacy not merely as a political move, but as a commitment to grassroots change and representation. He stated that the time has come “to transform Chanpatia, to become the voice of the people’s rights, and to realize the dream of Jan Suraj.”
He appealed directly to the public for support, concluding: “This isn’t just an election, but a pledge to bring the voice of the people to the Vidhan Bhavan. I humbly request all of you to witness this historic moment and support this journey of a people’s movement.”
