Young Tongue, Empty Promises: Giriraj Singh Launches Fiery Attack on Tejashwi Yadav Ahead of Bihar Polls

Patna: As the political temperature rises in Bihar ahead of the 2025 assembly elections, Union Minister and Begusarai MP Giriraj Singh has fired a fresh salvo at Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the opposition. Speaking at a rally in Arwal, Singh remarked that Tejashwi is “young, and his tongue is young too,” suggesting his words carry no weight and his promises remain unfulfilled.

In a sharp attack, Giriraj Singh said, “Whatever promises Tejashwi Yadav has made, he has failed to deliver. It is because of Nitish Kumar that the Lalu family’s politics is still alive. Otherwise, the family would have been wiped out long ago.” He went on to say that members of the Lalu family “should make a garland of Nitish Kumar’s photo and wear it,” mocking the long-standing alliance between JD(U) and RJD.

Calling the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) a “ticket-selling syndicate,” Singh alleged that voters would reject such opportunistic politics. “People will never vote for parties that treat tickets as commodities,” he said.

The Union Minister further accused Lalu Prasad Yadav of failing to build roads and compared his administration unfavourably to the NDA government’s “historic development.” He quipped that “NDA has made smoother roads than the cheeks of Lalu’s sons,” reviving one of his characteristic jibes.

Warning voters against supporting the opposition, Singh said, “Voting for the Grand Alliance means bringing back the era of jungle raj. The people of Bihar have seen that phase and will never allow it to return.”

Giriraj Singh exuded confidence that the NDA would secure a massive victory, predicting 225 seats in the upcoming elections—matching the coalition’s sweep in 2010. The remarks came during a press conference attended by BJP District President Dharmendra Tiwari and PACS President Dilip Sharma.
