Patna: The District Magistrate of Patna carried out a detailed inspection of the counting centre at AN College to review preparations for the upcoming vote counting process. He gave clear instructions to ensure that every arrangement meets the required standards and that the entire process takes place in a safe and transparent manner. The DM especially stressed that all CCTV cameras must be working properly so that every activity can be closely monitored at all times.
During his visit, the District Magistrate checked the arrangements at various points, including the counting rooms, barricades, helpdesks, and drop gates. He directed the officials to make sure that there are enough helpdesks at the venue to guide people and provide information. He also said that lighting should be excellent across the campus and that the signage plan should be clear and properly implemented. Adequate drop gates must also be placed in suitable locations to control the movement of vehicles and maintain security.
The DM held a meeting with officials from all important departments such as the Strong Room and Counting Cell, District Election Coordination Cell, Model Code of Conduct Cell, Media Cell, and Law and Order Cell. He asked all officers to maintain good communication and teamwork among themselves. He further instructed them to complete their assigned tasks according to the checklist provided so that there is no confusion on the counting day.
The District Magistrate expressed his happiness over the smooth and peaceful completion of voting in the district, calling it a matter of great joy. He thanked all stakeholders for their cooperation and efforts. He said that the counting of votes will also take place in a free, fair, fear-free, and transparent atmosphere as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India. The administration, he added, is fully committed to conducting the entire election process in a festive spirit, ensuring that every part of it runs smoothly and without any problems.
