Kishanganj: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi addressed a large election rally at Thakurganj College grounds in Kishanganj on Saturday, campaigning in support of his party’s candidate, Ghulam Hasnain. Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd, Owaisi mocked Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, saying, “What education will Tejashwi, a ninth-grade failure, provide to the children of Bihar?” His remark drew loud reactions from the audience as he accused the opposition leader of lacking the ability and vision to lead the state.
Owaisi said that the people of Seemanchal have seen the BJP, JDU, RJD, and Congress in power for the last 35 years, but the region’s condition has not changed. He pointed out that despite repeated promises, Seemanchal continues to struggle with poor education, a weak healthcare system, and high unemployment. Many families, he said, are forced to leave their homes in search of better opportunities in other states.
Criticising the Congress and RJD, Owaisi said these parties only talk about the development of Muslims and Mahadalits during elections. “After coming to power, they forget these communities and their issues,” he added. The Hyderabad MP highlighted that nearly 90 percent of Muslim students in Seemanchal fail to pass the Intermediate examination. He said the government’s claims of giving one job to every household were far from the truth and only meant to mislead voters.
Urging the people of Seemanchal to unite, Owaisi said that their strength lies in political awareness and collective action. “If the people of Seemanchal come together, no one can ignore their voice,” he said. The rally saw the presence of several AIMIM leaders, including Ghulam Hasnain, Haji Idrish, Rahil Alam, Maulana Amiruddin, Maulana Ayub Nizami, Maulana Sharif, Zahoor Rizvi, Ahmed Raza, and Mizan Alam, who called for stronger local representation in Bihar’s politics.
