Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been one of the busiest campaigners during the Bihar Assembly elections. According to information shared by the Janata Dal (United), he held a total of 84 public meetings across the state to support NDA candidates. Out of these, he reached 73 places by helicopter and 11 by road. Despite the hectic schedule, the Chief Minister could not hold meetings for 17 JDU candidates due to time constraints.
When Nitish Kumar visited one assembly constituency, he also campaigned for NDA candidates in several nearby constituencies. His team said that he wanted to reach as many people as possible during the campaign. Even when heavy rain disrupted his travel plans, the Chief Minister continued his outreach through road shows for two days, drawing large crowds despite the bad weather.
The JDU office shared that Nitish Kumar travelled about 1,000 kilometres by road during the campaign. On the days when helicopters could not fly, he went from Samastipur to Darbhanga by road, holding road shows and meeting local people along the way. The next day, he continued his journey to a nearby district, once again greeting supporters and interacting with the public during another road show. His road journeys helped him directly connect with voters, especially in rural areas.
Other political leaders were also busy campaigning across Bihar. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, VIP’s Mukesh Sahni, and Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishore held several road shows to gather support for their parties. Helicopters were seen frequently in the skies as leaders rushed from one event to another. At Patna Airport, several helicopters were lined up, becoming a sight of attraction for onlookers. Road shows, speeches, and aerial visits made this election season a lively and energetic affair across the state.
