Patna: Government primary schools in Bihar are set to receive new educational kits designed to make learning more interactive and engaging for children. The initiative aims to introduce students to local history, culture, and heritage through colourful 3D jumbo charts and visual learning materials.
Each school will be provided with a dedicated kit containing educational charts, 50 photo books, and posters covering topics such as important historical sites, great personalities, significant days of the year, nutrition, sports, and exercise. The materials will be available in both Hindi and English, ensuring accessibility for all students.
Under the “Historical Sites” section, pupils will learn about the district’s forts, temples, and archaeological landmarks, exploring their history, significance, and cultural values. The large four-by-six-foot charts will feature vivid 3D illustrations, maps, and timelines. Each chart will also include a QR code that teachers can scan using a tablet to access digital learning tools.
Officials said the initiative seeks to move away from rote memorisation and encourage reading with understanding through visual and experiential learning. The charts and posters will be displayed in every classroom to create a more stimulating environment.
In addition to history materials, the learning kits will include building blocks to help children grasp mathematical concepts through play. The education department hopes that the introduction of these interactive tools will promote curiosity, creativity, and a deeper understanding of subjects among young learners.
