AIIMS Patna Shines as ‘EVE Endoscopy 2025’ Brings India’s Top Surgeons Together for Groundbreaking Medical Learning

Two-day national event features live surgeries, scientific sessions and expert lectures for more than 300 delegates.

Patna: The national conference “EVE Endoscopy 2025 – Patliputra” ended successfully at AIIMS Patna on November 23 after two days of workshops, lectures and scientific sessions. The event was organised by the Indian Association of Gynecological Endoscopists along with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, AIIMS Patna. The main aim of the conference was to promote modern surgical techniques, safe endoscopy procedures, research and opportunities for women doctors in leadership positions. Doctors from across India participated, making it a major medical gathering for Eastern India.

The opening ceremony on November 22 took place at the AIIMS auditorium and began with welcoming the guests and lighting the ceremonial lamp. Organising Chairperson Prof (Dr) Anita Singh and Chief Patron Brigadier (Retd.) Prof (Dr) Raju Agarwal, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Patna, shared their thoughts on the future of gynecological endoscopy in India. Distinguished doctors including Dr Sudha Tandon, Dr Poonam Prasad Bhadani, Dr Sangam Jha and Dr Monica Anant were also present. Honoured guests Dr Kalyan Barmade and Dr Rekha Kurian delivered lectures on safety, innovation and development of endoscopic technology.

A major highlight of the first day was the lecture by internationally recognised surgeon Dr Prakash Trivedi, known as the “Icon of Gynaecology”. His inspiring talk titled “From Zero to Virtue – Let’s Build Our Future” encouraged young doctors to keep improving skills while focusing on patient safety. The inaugural day also included hands-on training workshops on fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, laparoscopic myomectomy, cyst removal, fertility-preserving surgeries and hysteroscopic procedures. Senior experts such as Dr Aruna Tantia, Dr Mala Raj, Dr Manjula Anagani and Dr Mukta Agarwal trained participants, followed by a cultural evening and dinner to conclude the day.

The second day on November 23 saw active participation from more than 300 delegates across the country. Scientific activities were held in two halls and included research paper presentations, video demonstrations and educational lectures. Eminent medical experts such as Dr Kalyan Barmade, Dr Shailesh Pantambekar and Dr Manjula Anagani delivered impactful talks on different aspects of keyhole surgery. Delegates also learned from experienced surgeons Dr Sudha Tandon, Dr Sujal Munshi and Dr Mala Raj, who shared advanced techniques and global developments in gynecological endoscopy.

The conference closed with a valedictory ceremony, where the organising team and contributors were honoured for their efforts. Organising Chairperson Dr Anita Singh expressed her gratitude to participants, sponsors and faculty, while Organising Secretary Dr Mukta Agarwal delivered the vote of thanks. The event ended with cake cutting, a cultural performance and acknowledgement of committee chairpersons. Dr Sangam Jha and Dr Monica Anant appreciated the success of the conference and welcomed continued cooperation in future medical programmes. In its official message, AIIMS Patna stated that the conference has become a milestone for innovation, research and women-led progress in gynecological endoscopy in Eastern India.
