Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party has made extensive arrangements to welcome Nitin Nabin to Patna on Tuesday following his appointment as the party’s national working president.
Banners, hoardings and posters have been erected across the city, particularly along the route from Patna airport to Miller School grounds, where a felicitation event is scheduled to take place. Several ceremonial arches have also been installed on the route, and party workers have decorated key stretches of the capital in saffron.
Nabin is due to arrive from Delhi at Patna airport at 11.30am. According to party officials, he will proceed to the venue at around 1.30pm in a ceremonial chariot, accompanied by Bihar BJP president Sanjay Saraogi and deputy chief ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha. During the programme, Nabin is expected to garland statues of BR Ambedkar and Jayaprakash Narayan.
The BJP state unit has delegated responsibilities for the event to senior leaders, office bearers and heads of the party’s seven state-level wings. Special efforts are also being made by local leaders in the Digha assembly constituency, where the Miller School grounds are located. The area’s MLA, Sanjeev Chaurasia, has overseen preparations with local party workers.

Party leaders said BJP workers across Bihar were enthusiastic about Nabin’s elevation, describing it as a moment of pride for the state. Residents of Bankipur, the constituency represented by Nabin in the Bihar assembly, are also preparing to welcome him.
Sanjay Saraogi said the party expected to “write a new chapter” under Nabin’s leadership and claimed that the BJP’s organisational strength in Bihar would be further consolidated. He made the remarks during a meeting with office bearers of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha at the state party office, where preparations for the welcome programme were reviewed.
Saraogi appealed to party youth leaders to ensure the event was conducted on a large scale, describing it as an important moment for the BJP in Bihar.
