Patna: The Government of Bihar has extended its special farmer registration campaign under the Agri Stack initiative, with chief secretary Pratyaya Amrit directing officials to adopt a mission-mode approach to meet targets.
Chairing a high-level review meeting on Monday, Amrit assessed the progress of the Agri Stack and farmer registration drive and announced that the special campaign would continue until January 21. He instructed all district magistrates to ensure that at least 50% of their assigned targets are achieved within the extended period.
Emphasising the importance of the exercise, the chief secretary said that both speed and accuracy were critical to the success of the project, which aims to create a comprehensive digital database of farmers to improve delivery of agricultural services and schemes.
During the review, Amrit singled out several districts for praise, commending the performance and working style of district administrations in Sheohar, Begusarai, Vaishali, Buxar and Katihar.
He urged other districts to draw lessons from these examples to improve their own performance, noting that timely and reliable data collection would be central to strengthening agricultural governance in the state.
