Patna: Patna Women’s College (PWC) has officially opened its admission process for the academic session 2026–27, creating a new opportunity for thousands of young women across Bihar and nearby states. The college is inviting applications for undergraduate, postgraduate and PG diploma courses through its official website. Students who wish to apply must complete the online form before March 15. The college management has said that no offline applications will be accepted this year. The application fee is Rs 1,500 for most courses, while candidates applying for MA Home Science will need to pay Rs 800.
This year, the admission process will follow a mixed system of merit lists, entrance exams and interviews, depending on the course. For professional courses like MCA, BCA, BBA, B.Com (Accounting & Finance and Professional Taxation) and B.Sc in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, students will have to appear for online interviews. These courses are becoming very popular as they offer strong career opportunities. The first merit list for all faculties will be released between May 26 and June 1, and students whose names appear on the list will be called for the next step of admission.
For postgraduate science and arts students, the college has also announced interview dates. Online interviews for M.Sc Zoology, Biotechnology and MA English will be held on May 30. At the same time, the college has made the process easier for many subjects by allowing direct admission without any entrance test. Courses such as M.Sc Physics, MA in History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Applied Psychology, Home Science and Social Work, along with all PG diploma courses, will follow this direct admission system.
The college has also fixed minimum marks for eligibility. Students from the general category must have at least 50% marks to apply for undergraduate courses. Students from reserved categories will get a 5% relaxation in marks. Patna Women’s College is known for its academic quality and safe learning environment for women. With the start of this new admission cycle, many young girls are now looking at PWC as a path towards higher education and a better future.
