Samastipur: Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the young and fast-rising cricket talent from Samastipur, has decided not to appear for the Class 10 board examinations this year. The news was confirmed by his school principal after a conversation with his family. Vaibhav has been making headlines for his powerful batting and impressive performances in domestic cricket events. With his career moving quickly, he and his family have taken the difficult decision to step away from his exams for now and focus fully on cricket.
According to school authorities and family sources, Vaibhav has been constantly travelling for training camps, matches and selection trials linked to national cricket programmes under the Board of Control for Cricket in India. His packed schedule has left him with almost no time to prepare for his studies. Although his exam form had already been filled and his admit card issued, it became clear that he would not be able to give proper attention to his exams while also meeting the demands of professional sport.
The decision was officially shared by Adarsh Kumar, popularly known as Pintu, the principal of Modesty School, Tajpur, after he spoke with Vaibhav’s father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi. Vaibhav had been allotted Poddar International as his examination centre. Despite all preparations being in place, the family chose to prioritise his cricket future, believing that he can return to complete his education at a later time.
The news has been warmly received by many local residents and cricket fans, who see Vaibhav as a source of pride for the district. They believe his success can inspire other young players to dream big. At the same time, teachers and elders have expressed hope that he will one day finish his schooling. The Class 10 exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education will begin on February 17 and continue until March 11. For now, Vaibhav’s focus remains on the cricket field, where he is working hard to build a bright future.
