Patna: Ahead of its theatrical release, Salman Khan’s highly anticipated film originally titled Battle of Galwan has been renamed. The announcement was made official on Monday by Salman Khan Films.
On March 16, Khan shared a new poster on his Instagram account, revealing the updated title: Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace. The tagline, “May War Rest In Peace,” reflects the film’s focus on peace and aligns with the theme introduced in the movie’s first song, which inspired the new title.
The film, directed by Apurva Lakhia, is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash, portraying the courage of unarmed Indian soldiers as they confronted the Chinese army. Salman Khan plays Colonel Santosh Babu, with Chitrangada Singh appearing in a significant role.
Originally scheduled for release on April 17, there have been reports that the film’s release may be postponed. No official confirmation has been provided, and the new poster does not indicate any change to the release date, leaving audiences waiting for further updates.
