Patna: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in Patna organised a large spiritual gathering titled “Amrit Utsav 2026” on Sunday, drawing devotees and followers from across the region.
The event, centred on the theme of devotion, service and unity, began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by senior spiritual leaders and dignitaries.
Focus on spirituality and community
Organisers said the programme aimed to promote spiritual awareness and strengthen Vedic traditions within society.
The event featured a series of activities, including Harinam sankirtan, bhajan-kirtan sessions, spiritual discourses and the distribution of prasad.
Speakers at the event highlighted the teachings of ISKCON’s founder-acharya, Srila Prabhupada, emphasising values of devotion, service and collective harmony.
Discourses and performances

Bhakti Prachar Parivrajak Swami Maharaj, co-general secretary of ISKCON Patna, spoke about integrating spiritual practices into daily life.
Adi Karta Das addressed participants through an interactive session, focusing on practical approaches to leading a balanced and spiritually inclined life.
A theatrical performance of the play Ajamil, presented by members of the ISKCON Youth Forum, was among the highlights of the event, along with devotional music sessions that engaged the audience.
Wide participation
Devotees from different regions attended the programme, creating a diverse gathering centred on spiritual engagement and cultural exchange.
The event concluded with the distribution of mahaprasad among attendees.
Organisers said the initiative was aimed at fostering a sense of unity and encouraging a value-based lifestyle through spiritual awareness.
