Patna: A farewell ceremony was organised at the Bihar Industries Association in Patna to mark the voluntary retirement of Anubha Prasad, general manager of Small Industries Development Bank of India for the Bihar–Jharkhand region.
The event began with a welcome address by association president Ramlal Khetan, who highlighted SIDBI’s role in supporting industrial development in the state and acknowledged Prasad’s contributions during her tenure. He said she had played a significant role in empowering local industries and entrepreneurs.
Several senior members of the association spoke on the occasion, praising her leadership, guidance and commitment to the sector. Among those who addressed the gathering were former president KPS Kesari, Bihar Women Industries Association president Usha Jha, Indu Agarwal, former vice-president Sanjay Bhartiya, GP Singh and vice-president DP Singh.
Vice-president Sanjay Goenka presented an overview of Prasad’s career, outlining her work, leadership style and contributions to industrial growth.

In her farewell address, Prasad reflected on Bihar’s industrial landscape and emphasised the importance of industries and entrepreneurs in driving economic development. She said stakeholders, including government officials and banking institutions, should adopt a more supportive and constructive approach towards the sector.
Highlighting the resilience of Bihar’s entrepreneurs, she expressed confidence in the state’s industrial future.
The programme concluded with Prasad being felicitated by the association, which extended its best wishes for her future endeavours.
