Patna: The Bihar Technical Service Commission has announced recruitment for 1,091 lab assistant posts across the state, offering fresh opportunities for candidates seeking government jobs in the technical and health sectors.
According to a short notice issued by the commission, the online application process will begin on April 6, 2026, through its official website.
Officials said the recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies in various government institutions and laboratories in Bihar. Selected candidates will be responsible for tasks such as handling laboratory equipment and assisting in sample analysis.
A detailed notification outlining eligibility criteria and other conditions is expected to be released soon. However, candidates are generally required to hold a diploma or a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as science or medical laboratory technology from recognised institutions.
Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories, including OBC, SC, ST and women, in accordance with state government norms.
Applicants will be required to complete the registration process online, upload necessary documents and pay the prescribed application fee before submitting their forms.
The commission typically conducts recruitment through a merit-based system, either via a written examination or evaluation of academic qualifications. With a large number of vacancies on offer, officials expect significant interest from candidates across the state.
Aspirants have been advised to begin preparations early, particularly focusing on technical subjects and general knowledge, as competition for government posts remains high.
