Patna: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has declared the results for the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations, reporting consistently high pass rates while continuing its policy of not publishing a toppers’ list.
According to the board, 98.18% of students cleared the ICSE Class 10 examinations out of approximately 2.6 lakh candidates who appeared. In the ISC Class 12 examinations, the pass percentage stood at 99.13%. In total, more than 4 lakh students took the examinations this year.
Students can access their results through multiple platforms, including the official website (results.cisce.org), DigiLocker, SMS services and the UMANG app. To check their scores online, candidates are required to enter their unique ID and index number.
The CISCE has reiterated the minimum qualifying criteria for both examinations. Students must secure at least 33% marks to pass the ICSE (Class 10) exams, while ISC (Class 12) candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 35%.
The board has continued its decision not to release a merit list, a move first implemented in recent years to reduce academic pressure and unhealthy competition among students. No toppers’ lists were issued in 2024 and 2025, and the policy remains unchanged for 2026. The last official ISC merit list was published in 2023, when five students jointly secured the top rank. However, high-performing students may still receive subject-wise distinction certificates.
This year’s examinations covered a wide range of subjects. The ISC (Class 12) exams included 45 written subjects, spanning 13 Indian languages, two foreign languages and two classical languages. Meanwhile, the ICSE (Class 10) exams featured 67 written subjects, including 20 Indian languages, 14 foreign languages and one classical language.
The CISCE said the results reflect stable academic performance trends across both levels, with accessibility measures such as DigiLocker aimed at simplifying the process for students to obtain official documents.
